Henry Millan

June 25, 1949 — April 6, 2018

North Austin Location

The family of Henry A. Millan announces his sudden passing on Friday, April 6, 2018.  Known as Hank to his friends in Austin Texas, his adopted home town, and as Butchie, to his seven brothers and sisters, where he grew up in Bayonne, New Jersey, his passing brings great sadness to his family and friends.

Hank enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1968, and performed duties as a communications technician, while serving in Japan, and Bergstrom AFB, TX.  Hank enjoyed working with electronics from an early age and attained high tech skills instrumental in computer development and silicon chip ion implanter operations, for integrated circuit manufacturing.  Hank’s passion was music.  He supported local music and local radio hosts with his collection of taped shows, videos, and photos.  After his retirement from the high tech industry, Hank volunteered at Austin’s Top Drawer Thrift raising funds for those in need.

Hank will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Mauri, daughter Michelle and her husband Danny, his son Michael and his wife Katie; his brothers, Tom, Anthony, Paul, sisters, Betty (deceased) Christine, Anna, and Sharon and their spouses and nieces and nephews.  A celebration of Hank’s life is being planned in Austin with details and date to be announced.
