Facundo Lopez

November 10, 1948 — January 24, 2021

South Austin Location

Our beloved Facundo Andres Lopez, age 72, resident of Austin, Texas, was called to our Heavenly Father on Sunday, January 24, 2021.

Andy is preceded in death by his parents, Anselmo & Isabel Lopez and his brother, Juan Lopez.

Andy is survived by his loving wife, Alice Lopez; Son, Russell; his nephew, Daniel and Adan; his sisters, Mary Jackson and Julia de Leon. He was also loved to all of Alice’s nieces and nephews and a brother-in-law to all of Alice’s sisters.

He loved to help and served with different ministries at San Jose Catholic Church. He was an acolyte for the church, he was in the rosary group and the prayer chain ministry. At home, he was a Master Chef on the pit and in the kitchen. At Christmas, he loved to make tamales that he was shown by his aunt Rachel and had joy in singing and listening to music. Andy knew how to make you laugh along side his contagious laughter and always knew how to brighten one’s mood when one is having a hard time and he would always say, “Trust the Lord” and so he did.

A Christian Mass will be held on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at 10:00 am at San Jose Catholic Church, 2435 Oak Crest St., Austin, Texas.

The Christian Mass will be live streamed on the church Facebook page and YouTube channel to allow those unable to attend to participate.

Due to the pandemic the church has a few housekeeping protocols in place for everyone's safety. The church is going to open their doors at 9:30 am and are asking that anyone that is going to attend to please arrive at 9:30 am so they can check everyone’s temperature before they enter the church and they will have ushers that will seat you. Due to the Coronavirus / COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin,
