Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Questions about Planning Before Need

I'm in my mid-forties and in good health. Can I still plan for my funeral?

Yes. You can meet with a Pre-Need Counselor to discuss, decide and record your final wishes years in advance. Your decisions can also be funded through a pre-paid trust or pre-need insurance contract, which locks in today's prices and protects against inflation.

Do I have to pay to meet with a counselor or to record my wishes with a funeral home?

No. Meeting with a counselor is a free service provided by the funeral home.

How long does the meeting with a counselor last?

The average meeting time is approximately one to two hours.

I would feel more relaxed making decisions at home. Can a counselor come to my home for our appointment?

Certainly. Your appointment with the counselor can occur at the funeral home's office or in the privacy of your home. The decision is up to you.
